Halfback Ricky Williams made a big splash with the Dolphins in his first season in Miami. He led the NFL in carries (383), rushing yards (1853), and rushing yards per game (115.8) in 2002. His 16 rushing TDs were second best in the NFL and his yards per carry average of 4.8 was seventh in the league in 2002. He was selected to the Pro Bowl and named first team All-NFL by AP, Pro Football Weekly, the Pro Football Writers, and the Sporting News for the first and only time in his 10 NFL seasons.
